7 weeks to go!! Oh.My.Word. All looks well with baby. The 29th starts our weekly visits...yikes! Nothing feels normal in my body at this point and everything seems to hurt or cause discomfort. And we're definitely not going to talk about how much weight I've gained! So rather than complain, I'll get right on to the fun stuff....
Nursery Progress:
We've been busy over here at Casa de Clarke. Well, actually, it's my mom who's been doing most of the work:)
When contemplating a nursery theme, I knew I wanted something original, not babyish, with a boho/vintage flair. My mom has recently added another skill to her already quite impressive repertoire-chalk painting! I wasn't familiar with the technique, but as soon as I saw her first piece, I was obsessed! A few months ago YaYa (Lee's mama) bought us this hidden gem at a local antique store.
I immediately saw the potential, and boy my mom does not disappoint! Multiple coats of CeCe Caldwell's Kentucky Mint and Annie Sloan's Old White, clear wax, and lots of sanding later....
Voila! Needless to say, it's just perfect.
I got these fabric samples in the mail and fell.in.love! The two on the left will be the window treatments, and the bird will be the crib bumper and comforter. The crib skirt will be a large scale yellow/white stripe.
I had my first shower thrown by old dance friends this weekend and got lots of goodies for baby girl!
We recently planned our first family vacation with baby! Charleston is our favorite place, and I wanted to be in walking distance to the beach AND the bars. So, Folly it is!! {I can taste my frozen Screw Driver already} I was so excited, I picked up these adorable outfits.
I took advantage of my long weekend and painted her bathroom "Frosted Lemon" and hung a coral, damask shower curtain. We have the basics, now just need to accessorize!
The puppies are just as ready as I am to meet our sweet girl:)
