Celebrate the Season {Fall Preview}

Fall comes early in the Clarke house! As in nearly a month early. I'm usually over the summertime by late June and start anxiously awaiting my most adored season's arrival. I just couldn't help myself when we had the cool front roll through a few weeks ago! Fall is my absolute favorite season. Obsessed is probably the most fitting description. I'm going to attempt to blog all of the fall happenings going on-decorations, recipes, activities, lessons. Cool evenings, refreshing outdoor runs, pumpkin this, pumpkin that, apple-picking, Asheville, Clemson, FOOTBALL, falling leaves, seasonal beer, beautiful foliage, fires, crockpot, and as if it could possibly get any better, now I get to add turkey/pumpkin/apple/the list goes on and on themed baby girl clothes to the mix.

Here we go. Lord help us get through this football season still married.

Eating my coveted SL Apple recipes.

Friday night excitement!

Pumpkin Pie French toast-2 thumbs up. (plain for Lee, of course)

Just a little wreath making!

Chicken & Dumplings-Fall Staple.

Baked Cinnamon Apples with Vanilla Ice Cream. (Did I mention I still have 5 pounds to lose??)

Holy Pumpkin.

Attempting to squeeze Fin into her sole long pants outfit (sz. 6-9 months) that was never before worn. Fail.

Welcome Fall!

The Life of a Working Mama...

Wake up. Get ready in 20 minutes. Warm the bottle. Pack the lunches. Wake the baby up. Feed the baby. Love on the baby. Run out the door {inevitably forgetting something important}. Eat breakfast in the car. Run into work. Get ready for 19 precious 6 year olds. Perform Teach for 7 hours. Plan. Print. Cut. Laminate. Run out the door as quick as possible to pick up the baby from Daycare. Get home. Let the monsters 2 overly hyper dogs out. Feed the baby. Play with the baby. Read to the Baby. Cook dinner. Bathe the baby. Put the baby to sleep. Back to the planning, printing, cutting, and laminating. Go to bed....(until the baby wakes up crying).
And start again.
Phewww, it's exhausting. NOT that I'm complaining! This life is certainly a blessed, albeit hectic, one:o)

5 Months!

Finlay {Fin Fin, Finny, Fin} has blessed our lives for 5 1/2 months now. We fall more and more in love with her everyday & she's showing so much personality. She has the sweetest, most innocent smile. I have a feeling I'm going to be a major sucker for that grin.
Her chubbiness continues to amuse her daddy and me, as she's weighing in at over 18 lbs. The most common remark from strangers is "She sure hasn't missed a meal". LOL. No she hasn't. Five 6 oz bottles every 3 hours plus a healthy serving of bananas and rice. We're moving into 6-9 month sized clothes. She loves scratching any surface, which means I'm constantly struggling to clip her finger nails.
Baby girl sleeps about 10 hours a night in her crib, with the exception of about once a week when she wakes up fussing and ends up in our bed.

We have one week of Daycare under our belts, and it went surprisingly well. As difficult as it is to be separated, we've already settled into our new routine. Every minute with her is precious to me!
Thanks to Auntie Liza for this fab authentic vintage frock.

We are just weeks away from a whole new world of food & aisles and aisles of toys. (I'm a stickler for age guidelines labeled on the toys!) It's amazing to me that 5 whole months have passed already, but I won't waste time crying over the time passing, rather embrace each new day and all the changes they bring:o)
