....has finally arrived! Any teacher will attest to the elation and relief felt leaving the building for the summer. It is a highly anticipated, much-needed, and well-deserved b-r-e-a-k. Once upon a time in the distant past {well 2 years ago to be exact} summer meant reading books from front to back cover in one sitting, lounging at the pool for hours on end, sleeping in, mid-week cocktails and dinner dates, daily naps, and long runs. Those days are long gone. These days are full of 6am wake-up calls, 1 year old "lessons" and crafts, and scheduled meal times and extra-curricular classes. A far cry from the pre-baby summer life but no less sweet:o) I still get in the occasional nap, do plenty of pleasure reading, and best of all get to spend every waking (and some non) with my precious Finlay!
Happiest of Father's Day to this daddy. Finlay and baby boy are so very lucky.
